Argument (ar*gyou*ment) n. A discussion that occurs when you're right, but he just hasn't realized it yet.

Trofi, Baru Pichichi

Dalam laga jornada 35 Primera Division La Liga kontra Villarreal di Camp Nou, Ahad (10/5), Samuel Eto’o kembali masuk score-sheet. Bomber Barcelona itu mengemas golnya ke-28 sepanjang musim 2008/09 sekaligus memantapkan posisi di daftar teratas el pichichi.

Jika dibandingkan pencapaiannya sewaktu menyabet gelar top-scorer La Liga musim 05/06 lalu (26 gol), penyerang tajam asal Kamerun ini juga terbilang lebih subur. Akan tetapi, ketika diwawancarai Barca TV, sikap tak acuh pada gelar individual justru dimunculkan Eto’o.

“Gelar el pichichi tak penting bagi saya. Memang sedikit terlintas tentang hal ini. Namun, saya sudah melewati pencapaian yang saya targetkan di awal musim,” begitu kata Eto’o. “Saya tetap akan mencoba meraih gelar itu (pichichi), tapi yang jauh lebih penting adalah gelar untuk tim.”

Sikap Eto’o ini terlihat jauh lebih dewasa ketimbang saat Barca menjadi juara La Liga musim 2004/05. Kala itu, mantan delantero Real Madrid ini melampiaskan amarahnya ketika di pekan-pekan terakhir trofi pichichi justru lepas ke tangan Diego Forlan (Villarreal).

Dalam beberapa wawancara, Eto’o bahkan menuding bahwa rekan-rekannya sengaja tak memberi asupan bola kepadanya agar gelar pichichi tak jatuh ke tangan Eto’o. (shr)

50-50 di Roma?

Absennya Thierry Henry di laga 2nd leg semifinal Liga Champion melawan Chelsea di Stamford Bridge, Rabu (6/5), sempat mengundang reaksi negatif soal pemilihan pemain yang dilakoni Pep Guardiola.

Kubu yang pro pada Chelsea bahkan sempat menuduh Barca sengaja memainkan perang urat saraf dengan memberikan informasi abu-abu. Anyway, Henry urung merumput di London, kota yang menjadi domisilinya bertahun-tahun sebelum merapat ke Catalonia.

Apes bagi Barca, kabar terbaru malah menyebut Titi berpotensi absen saat final LC melawan juara bertahan Manchester United di Estadio Olimpico Roma. “Kehadiran Henry (di Roma) lebih mengarah pada keraguan. Partisipasinya bahkan tak bisa kami garansikan,” begitu bunyi rilis yang dikeluarkan situs resmi Barca.

Indikasi ke arah ini sudah menampakkan hasil tatkala penyerang Les Bleus tersebut dinyatakan absen pada laga final Copa del Rey (melawan Athletic Bilbao) serta tiga jornada (melawan Villarreal, Real Mallorca, dan Osasuna).

Lagi-lagi langkah Barca dipertanyakan. Apakah Henry benar-benar cedera engkel sewaktu Barca mengalahkan Real Madrid di el clasico (2/5) atau ia memang sengaja disimpan untuk meladeni United di LC? Jika opsi pertama yang benar, berarti Pep harus tampil tanpa penyumbang 26 gol di seluruh kompetisi itu. (shr)
